Methanation of CO2 is achieved by using photo generated hydrogen and catalyst particles loaded onto TiO2 nanotubular template based on a patent pending technology. Our attempt is to: 1.) to evaluate the effectiveness of the ordered nanotubular TiO2 arrays as a potential support for the catalysts and 2.) to verify that the photo electrochemically generated hydrogen is as effective as the hydrogen derived from any other source for methanation of CO2. CO2 + air mixture is used for methanation reaction. Experiments are carried out at 200 – 350 ºC at different space velocities. The reaction products are analyzed using a gas chromatograph.
